We have received phone calls and requests about what the medical assistant can and can't do in the state of Connecticut.  Here is a link to the site of the department of public health that tells you what you can and can't do in the state of Connecticut.  The website is www.dph.state.ct.us  when you go to this site type in medical assistant and the description of what we can do will be defined.

House of Delegates will be held Thursday, April, 8 at 7:00 p.m. sharp.  If you are interested in being a delegate for your chapter please contact your chapter president.  Members-at- Large are allowed representation.  The names of delegates must be presented to the President and Treasurer no later then Feb 22.  The governing body of the CSMA shall be the HOD which shall have the authority to determine the policies of this Society, amends the Bylaws, act upon such business as may be presented and conduct the annual election of officers.

Interested in helping your state society?  Please consider filling an open spot on the state board.  The following positions are open:

President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasure, Board of Director .  All are one year term except for BOD position which is a 3 yr term.  All forms must be postmarked by March 8, 2010.  Please mail to Wendy Carros, CMA (AAMA) 151 Oakland St Bristol CT 06010. JOB OPPORTUNITIES

A new Orthopedic office will be opening in March in West Hartford.  The position will be part time with opportunity for full time in the future. The physician is willing to train but prior Orthopedic experience helpful (cast removal).  If you are interested please contact:
