*VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!!!
The CSMA is looking for Volunteers to attend the following meetings below and take attendance at the CEU Programs that we have scheduled. Volunteers would need to arrive 15 minutes prior to CEU Program start time and have a sign(we will provide) indicating that you are the CSMA Rep for the program. Members will sign the attendance form (we will provide) and all you have to do is either email or fax the attendance sheet back to us.
IF NO VOLUNTEERS SIGN UP FOR PROGRAM THE PROGRAM WILL BE CANCELED 
 
*All of the below CEU Programs have been approved by the AAMA. 
 
*All programs are Free of charge.
 

*AAMA is moving away from the use of social security numbers. Member, when you are filling out attendance sheets it is required that you use our member numbers. Only non-members should use the last four digits of their social security numbers on attendance sheets. Attendance sheets not adhering to this policy will not be counted.

HARTFORD/TOLLAND COUNTY AREA

Are You At Risk For Breast Cancer?

 

Wednesday, October 02, 2013                   6:30 - 8:00 PM

This lecture will focus on the major risk factors for breast cancer including: age and reproductive factors, risks resulting from benign conditions such as various atypias, family history and genetics. This presentation covers a detailed discussion on how these factors affect the risk for breast cancer and then reviews management options for women at high risk such as increased surveillance, medications and prophylactic surgery. Questions will be taken and answered throughout the presentation and after to make sure that everyone receives all of the information they need.

Dr. DeFusco is a board-certified medical oncologist and Principal Investigator for the National Surgical Adjuvant Breast and Bowel Project (NSABP).  Dr. DeFusco has been featured as one of the "Top Doctors in Connecticut Magazine, Hartford Magazine and Northeast Magazine.  Dr. DeFusco is a member of the Hematology/Oncology Division of Connecticut Multispecialty Group.  Dr. DeFusco currently serves as Medical Director of Hartford Hospital's Partnership for Breast Care.

This  seminar will provide you with valuable information on:

  • Risk factors for breast cancer
  • Options for managing risk factors

Persistent Chest Pain

Over 8 million patients present each year to the Emergency Departments with chest pain. Many of these patients continue to have chest pain even when they are diagnosed not to have heart attack.
